Ask HN: Has anyone got a job by contributing to open source projects?
I am trying to find a mentor that might help me ramp up in C++ on an open source project like Google Chrome. I am happy to pay for the mentorship. I would also be open to collaborating with peers that are in my position and want to contribute to an open source project. I have 3 years of experience in C++ but haven't touched C++ for 5 years.
